Geelong Nature Festival 2025

We are part of the 2025 Geelong Nature Festival! – Fun for all the Family 🌿

We’re thrilled to share that the Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk will be part of this year’s Geelong Nature Festival – Explore and Restore, running from 12 to 27 July 2025.

This wonderful annual event is a celebration of our local biodiversity and community-led conservation efforts, and we’re proud to join over 40 other groups and organisations bringing nature to life across Geelong.

Join Us at the Opening Day – Saturday 12 July

  • We’ll be hosting a stall at the Family Fun Day at the Old Paper Mill, Fyansford, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Pop by and say hello! You’ll be able to:
  • Meet our friendly committee members
  • Hear more about our native garden oasis in Lara
  • Check out (and purchase!) our brand new A6 blank card sets featuring past photo competition winners
  • Make a donation if you’d like to support the ongoing care of the Walk

While the event is free, bookings are encouraged so organisers can plan for the crowd. Rug up—it’s an outdoor winter event—and get ready to be inspired by wildlife encounters, kids’ activities, guest speakers, community planting and more.

Walk with Us – Two Guided Tours of Kevin Hoffman Walk 🌱

As part of the festival, we’re offering two guided tours of the Walk on Sunday 13 July at:
11:00 am – 12:00 pm
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm

These relaxed strolls along Hovells Creek will include stories about the Walk’s creation, Kevin Hoffman’s love of native plants, and some of the fascinating birdlife and seasonal textures you’ll find along the way. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential.
