Winners will be announced at our Photo Competition Winners Event on Wednesday 16 September 2026 at 7.00 pm at the Lara Sporting Club.

The 2026 Photo Competition is Now Open!

We are delighted to announce that our 2026 Photo Competition is now open.

This year’s theme invites you to explore and capture:

“The Magic of the Walk”

Whether it’s a quiet moment, a striking detail or a unique perspective, we encourage you to interpret the theme in your own creative way.

Who Can Enter?

Our competition is open to amateur and hobbyist photographers of all ages, including under 18s.

Please note:
This competition is for hobbyist and amateur photographers only. Entrants must not earn a regular income from photography or photographic services.

Occasional photo sales or reimbursements (e.g. for a local club or event) may be acceptable, provided the individual does not promote themselves as a professional photographer or earn a primary or significant secondary income through photography.

This competition relies on the honesty and integrity of entrants. If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible, please feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help.

Before You Enter

This competition is all about capturing the Kevin Hoffman Walk.
Photos must be taken along the Walk and reflect its unique natural beauty, plant life, textures, and atmosphere.
If you’re not able to visit the Walk, this competition may not be the right fit this year.

Entry Basics

• Maximum of 3 photo entries per person
• Photos must be taken at the Kevin Hoffman Walk
• No people or domestic animals permitted
• Native birds, insects and wildlife are welcome
• Winning images will feature in our annual calendar

Why Enter?

Winning photos will be featured in our 2027 Kevin Hoffman Walk Calendar, with one image proudly showcased on the front cover.

Final selections are made by the Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk committee through a blind judging process.

Prizes are awarded to our first 3 placegetters and all successful entrants receive a complimentary copy of the calendar.

Choose three photos from your existing portfolio or head out with your camera to capture something new! Just be sure your entries meet the guide’s criteria.
