A Commitment to Care and Community

FKHW takes pride in managing the day-to-day maintenance of the Walk. Our efforts include employing a part-time gardener for five hours a week and coordinating volunteers to assist with light duties, ensuring this unique space continues to thrive.

For larger projects and enhancements, we collaborate closely with the City of Greater Geelong under an agreed management plan. The employment of our gardener is made possible by the generous contributions of our corporate community partners, whose support we deeply value.

The Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk are dedicated to maintaining and promoting the walk as a vibrant, tranquil community asset, encouraging local involvement through partnerships and shared stewardship. 

Values:

We value the Kevin Hoffman Walk as a peaceful retreat that supports community well-being and honours our region’s natural heritage. We acknowledge and respect the First Nations people for their enduring culture and deep connection to this land. This walk reflects the enduring legacy of Kevin Hoffman and the collective effort of his family and the Friends who support it. 

Our Primary Objectives:

1. Maintain and preserve the Kevin Hoffman Walk to the high standard set by its creator Kevin, for everyone’s enjoyment now and into the future. 
2. Engage the community in valuing and participating in the preservation of this significant Lara asset.
3. Strengthen and grow our volunteer network for the ongoing care of the Walk.
4. Build and sustain partnerships with the City of Greater Geelong and local businesses to support the Walk’s ongoing upkeep.
