Discover the Magic: Snap Chat & Stroll No. 3 with Elisa

Our Snap, Chat & Stroll is back again this April, and it could not come at a better time.

With our annual Photo Competition now officially open, this is the perfect opportunity to come along, learn a few new skills, and start capturing your own moments along the Walk.

Local photography enthusiast Elisa Banas will once again guide us on a relaxed one hour stroll, sharing simple and practical tips that you can use straight away, whether you are using a phone or a camera. These sessions are friendly, informal, and open to everyone. No experience needed, just a love of being outdoors and giving photography a go.

A Great Time to Get Started

If you have been thinking about entering our Photo Competition, this is your gentle nudge to begin.

The competition is open to amateur and hobbyist photographers from our local community and across Geelong and surrounding areas, with entries closing on June 30.  There is still plenty of time and this stroll is a great way to build your confidence and start collecting images.

You might even capture something that becomes part of our 2027 calendar, or even features on the front cover. It is a great time to get started and get those creative juices flowing for your entries. You can learn more about our 2026 Photo Competition here.

New to the Walk?

If you have not yet discovered the Kevin Hoffman Walk, this is a wonderful way to experience it for the first time.

Take a slow wander, enjoy the birdlife and native plantings, and see how much beauty reveals itself when you pause and really look.

Before You Come Along

If you would like to get a head start, you might like to download our Photo Competition Guide before the day. It includes everything you need to know and may even give you a few ideas of what to look out for.

Of course, there is no pressure, you can simply come along and enjoy the morning.

What to Expect

This is a relaxed and welcoming session where you can:

• Learn simple photography tips from Elisa
• Practise as you walk
• Ask questions along the way
• Connect with others who enjoy nature and photography
