Friday, March 6, 2026 | 9.00–10.00am | Meet at the Walkers Road main entrance
After the wonderful response to our first Snap, Chat & Stroll late last year, we’re delighted to be doing it again!
Those who joined us in November might remember that Elisa surprised us with a photography challenge — the theme was yellow. It was amazing how many details suddenly appeared once we started really looking. Flowers, stamens, leaves, bark and sunlight all became part of the photos.
So now the question is… what theme will Elisa choose this time? You will have to come along to find out!
Local photographer Elisa Banas will again guide us on a relaxed one-hour wander along the Kevin Hoffman Walk, sharing simple, practical tips you can use immediately — whether you take photos on a phone or a camera. These sessions are friendly, informal and very welcoming. You can ask questions, try new ideas and enjoy a calm start to your morning surrounded by birdsong and native plants.
This time we’re also trying something a little different — a weekday morning session — so if this timeslot suits you, we would love to see you.
A Perfect Warm-Up for our Photo Competition
Our 2026 Photo Competition will officially open very soon, so this stroll is a great way to start preparing.
Elisa will help you notice textures, light and composition — all things that make photos stand out when judging time arrives. It’s also the ideal opportunity to practise photographing the Walk itself, which is of course what the competition celebrates.
One helpful tip to begin practising now:
Start taking your photos in landscape (horizontal) mode. Our calendar format suits horizontal images best and getting into the habit early really helps.
What to Expect
This is a relaxed and welcoming morning where you can simply wander the path, enjoy the surroundings and pick up helpful photography tips along the way. There’s no pressure — just a chance to slow down, notice the details and see the Walk a little differently.
The event is free, but registrations help us plan for the morning.

If you enjoy the morning — or can’t make it but would still like to support the Walk — you can help by purchasing a calendar, blank card pack, or making a donation through our online shop. Every contribution helps us care for this special community space.
