Looking for a calm and inspiring way to start your Saturday morning? Join us for Snap, Chat & Stroll with Elisa — a one-hour photography walk along the beautiful Kevin Hoffman Walk.

Following her warmly received presentation at our Photo Competition Winners Event in September, local photographer Elisa Banas, who can be found on social media at Banas Photography, is returning to share more of her knowledge and passion. Elisa’s approach blends mindfulness with photography, encouraging participants to slow down, tune in to their surroundings, and see nature through a more creative and calming lens.

As you wander the Walk, surrounded by native plants, birds, and the gentle sounds of nature, Elisa will offer tips on capturing beautiful moments — whether you’re using a smartphone or a camera. It’s a relaxed and friendly session where you can ask questions, practice new techniques, and connect with others who share a love of photography and the outdoors.

This is also a wonderful opportunity to find inspiration for our 2026 Photo Competition, themed “The Magic of the Walk.” What better way to discover that magic than by experiencing it first-hand?

The event is free, but we’d love you to register so we can plan for the morning. Everyone is welcome — from beginners to experienced photographers.

Elisa Banas is a local nature and landscape photographer based in Lara. Elisa combines her photography training with a mindful approach to image-making — encouraging people to slow down, connect with their surroundings, and see beauty in the small details as well as the bigger picture.
