Amateur Photo Competition Entry Form

2024 Calendar Photo Competition

Entries are now open for our amateur photo competition, for the creation of our 2024 Calendar, with this year’s theme being: Flora & Fauna of the Walk

You can submit your entry via the online form below. Photos must be accompanied by a completed online entry form and both submitted by email to:

before 11.59pm on Thursday 30th of June, 2023.

The photos taken that meet the Rules of the Competition and deemed as relevant to the competition theme by the Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk committee, will be selected and included in the printed 2024 Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk calendar, which will be made available for sale to the public. Competition winners will be notified via email and announced in the Lara Happenings and on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

I, the abovenamed person, acknowledge that the photos I am about to submit are my own work and that I am not a professional photographer deriving any income whatsoever from photography sales. I confirm I have read and understand the rules of competition entry. I confirm that people who appear in the photo(s) have been notified and have given me permission to submit the photo(s) to the Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk photo competition, 2023. Photo subjects and I are each aware that any photos selected by the Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk committee will be printed in the 2024 Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk calendar, which will be made available for sale to the public. Once submitted, the digital copies of the photo(s) will become the property of the Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk.
Entries must be received before midnight on June the 30th, 2023.

Photo Competition Entry Rules

This photo competition is conducted by the Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk.

NOVICE AND AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS ONLY MAY ENTER
You must NOT derive any income from photo sales whatsoever.
Strictly NO professional photographers.
Competition is open to ALL ages, with Under 18s required to advise us their age.
Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk committee members are ineligible to enter.
All submitted photos MUST be taken along the Kevin Hoffman Walk.

PHOTO ORIENTATION AND ASPECT RATIO
All photos MUST be taken in landscape orientation and in focus.
No portrait orientated images will be considered.
All photos submitted must be taken at an aspect ratio of 4:3.

PHOTO SIZE AND EDITS
Only digital photos will be accepted.
File size must be a minimum of 3Mb.
Photos must be the ACTUAL size when sending from a mobile device. Photos may be digitally enhanced or edited, i.e. “Photoshopped”.

MACRO OR CLOSE UP PHOTOS
All macro or close-up photos MUST be accompanied by a wide angle shot containing identifiable landmarks, as evidence the photo is taken along the Kevin Hoffman Walk, otherwise the photo will be ineligible and not considered.

ENTRY FORMS AND PHOTO LIMITS
Ensure your entry form is completed in its entirety prior to lodging.
Photos must be submitted separately via email, as detailed on the entry form and also below.
Incomplete entries will be deemed ineligible for consideration.
A MAXIMUM of 4 photos per person can be submitted, which excludes evidence photos.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Once submitted, all photos become the property of FKHW.
Selected photos will be printed in the calendar, which is retailed to the public.
Friends of Kevin Hoffman Walk may choose to use any submitted photos for but not limited to, publicity and advertising either in print, on our website or social media platforms.

ENTRIES CLOSE JUNE 30, 2023
All entries must be submitted by the closing date.
No late entries will be considered.
